.To Be Continued was the fourth album in three years from Isaac Hayes and his second release of 1970. The record peaked at number 11 in the US and also reached the top spot on the jazz albums chart. Hayes is backed on these tracks by the Bar-Kays, the Memphis Horns and the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. Producer – Isaac Hayes Trombone – Bill Bell (2), Jackie Thomas Trumpet – Ernie Bernhardt, John Davis. Soul songs; featuring Isaac Hayes, vocals; with instrumental accompaniment. Description: 1 audio disc (41 min.): analog, 33 1/3 rpm, stereo; 12 in. ...To Be Continued is the fourth studio album by Americansoul musicianIsaac Hayes, issued in 1970 on Stax Records' Enterprise label. The LP includes Hayes' cover of the Burt Bacharach/Hal David composition 'The Look of Love', which was issued as a single in an edited form, peaking at #79 on the Billboard Hot 100.[1] Hayes had covered Bacharach/David songs on his previous albums Hot Buttered Soul ('Walk On By') and The Isaac Hayes Movement ('I Just Don't Know What to Do With Myself').
The ...To Be Continued album as a whole peaked at #1 on the BillboardBlack Albums and Jazz Albums charts, and at #11 on the Billboard 200.[1]
